Are Lupine Collars Quick-Release?
Lupine Pet teams up with renowned buckle manufacturer YKK to deliver a pioneering quick-release buckle.
Not only is this custom buckle easy to use, but it’s also strong enough to withstand plenty of pulling from more aggressive furballs.
How do you get these collars onto your dog, then?
How Do You Put a Lupine Collar on a Dog
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the sizing right.
You’ll notice many Lupine dog collars are highly adjustable, so you can tweak the length from 12 to 20 inches.
To measure your dog’s neck size accurately, make sure you measure around the mid-point of the neck, tight against his fur. Add 10% for tolerance and you’ve got the right neck size to work from.
As a general guideline, if in doubt between two sizes of collar, opt for the smaller size. This will be less bulky around your pup’s neck than doubling a bigger collar back to its smallest setting.
If properly fitted, you should be able to slide two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.
How about using a Lupine harness, then? Is that just as simple?
How to Use a Lupine Dog Harness
Getting a Lupine harness in place couldn’t be easier.
First, measure your dog’s girth (all around his body up against the front legs) and add 10% for tolerance.
Next, unbuckle the harness and lay it out flat.
Put your dog’s paws in the gaps between the central strap. Bring the ends up over your dog’s back and snap the buckle closed.
Adjust the straps at the front and back for a snug fit.
Clip the leash to both of the D-rings and you’re ready to hit the road.

What We Didn’t Like
- Colors can bleed into dog’s fur
