The inner layer of this dog bed provided our dog with contouring comfort by including gel-infused memory foam while the outer layers combine taffeta and denim to give it a nearly chew-proof toughness.
Although a relentless chewer may be able to break through the denim covering, we found that the bed held its own for most of the dogs we worked with. The hidden zippers also eliminated our pup’s access to teething triggers.
Our testers especially like the flexibility of this bed to accommodate our dogs of all shapes and sizes and our dogs definitely appreciated the comfy nature of the memory foam material!

This bed comes in a whole host of sizes, ranging from extra small to giant, and it fit snugly inside our crates. Although this bed lacked the comfort of a product with more padding, for our relentless chewers, it was worth the sacrifice.

Our favorite added perk of this elevated dog bed is that it is delivered pre-assembled, so we didn’t have to worry about the hassle of figuring out how to put it together. The fabric is also easy to wipe down, so we could clean it with simply a damp cloth or a water hose.

Additionally, its fabric is strategically slid into the frame, which eliminated any seams our dogs could try to gnaw or claw at.
The trampoline center was durable enough to handle our dog’s weight without sagging. Furthermore, while we might have imagined a raised bed to be rigid and unforgiving, we found that the bed’s orthopedic design was gentle on our dog’s bones and muscles.
However, some of our dogs were still not attracted to its firmness.
Cleaning and Maintenance

Our teething doggo’s craving a bit more comfort loved this Chew Proof Pillow Bed from K9 Ballistics. This alternative to the elevated frame has a metal inner frame, covered by a mattress layer, and then surrounded with a water-resistant canvas cover.
Our older pets were especially fond of the orthopedic support that this bed provided; its mattress is packed with high-quality CertiPUR-US. But whether your pet is aging like a fine wine or a teething energetic puppy, we found that all our dogs could appreciate the attention to comfort this bed offers.
The downsides to this bed would be that while it is labeled as chew proof and nearly indestructible, our pets with true passion and tenacity were able to find their way through it.
Teethers and mild chewer it could handle, but it did not offer the same toughness as the metal frame for dogs who chew heavily.
Set Up and Maintenance

Set Up and Maintenance
The mesh fabric and iron frame of this bed made it easy for us to wipe down with water right from the tap. It is also lightweight and could be used both in our living room or outside on our patio. We did find though, that when left outside in the rain, water would pool on the fabric of this bed, so drying was necessary to prevent mold.
There is some DIY that comes with constructing this bed. We found that the directions could have been clearer and that the pieces did not slide together easily. However, if you have the patience to put this bed together, its quality and price will make it worth the extra time and effort.
