Volunteer Application — Adoption Outings & Events

Volunteers for Adoption Outings & Events report to various adoption outings in the Richmond area. BARK has pre-scheduled outings every weekend and also participates in Special Events periodically. Volunteers will communicate with the Adoption Team leader to know when and where to report to help with the outings. We always need helping hands to assist with showing the dogs, walking the dogs and greeting people who may be interested in meeting the dogs. Some volunteers will also be trained in how to review and adoption contract with a new adopter. Commitments can range from once a month to every weekend, as determined by you.

Are you under 16?
I am aware that if a minor is under the age of 14 a parent must stay with them at all times while at the outings. Also, if a minor is between the ages of 14–16 a parent must stay with them at the outings until a head volunteer and the parent are comfortable that the child is ok around the dogs (this usually takes 3–4 outing days).
